Photoelectric polymer materials possessing Unique structure and optoelectronicproperties have obtained extensive attention and played a significant role in designing andmanufacturing of optoelectronic devices. The polymer containing trans-cis isomerizationperformance are novel photoelectric polymer materials and hot research field.8-hydroxyquinoline derivative were widely used in peobing metal ion and research, applicationof the luminescent materials as a metal chelators.In this paper two novle polyesters weresynthesized,5-[8-(octaneyloxy) quinoline-azo]-1,3-diethyl phthalate, and5-[8-(hexadecyloxy)quinoline-azo]-1,3-diethyl phthalate,the polyesters(P1~P6)were synthesized through reactingwith glycol1,3-propanediol,1,6-hexanediol respectively.The structure of monomers andpolyesters were confirmed through IR,UV-vis,1H NMR. By gel exclusion chromatography,thenumber-average molecular weight(Mn) are6271g/mol,16446g/mol,19590g/mol,7082g/mol,19519g/mol,20195g/mol,the weight-average molecular weight(Mw) are14625g/mol,23957g/mol,27390g/mol,11761g/mol,25257g/mol,25698g/mol, molecular weightdispersion coefficient(PDI) are2.33,1.85,1.79,2.06,1.83,1.67.Measuring By the TG,the Tdof polyesters are278℃,273℃,280℃,280℃,280℃,292℃,indicating that polyesters haveexcellent thermal stability.Polyesters dissolved in CHCl3and partly in THF.In UV-vis, theabsorption of monomers are similar to polyesters, nearby250nm and400nm. Monomers andpolyesters occured trans-cis isomerism under365nm UV and the conversion rate(R):51.64%,40.32%,27.63%,25.04%,23.68%,19.71%,20.05%,18.43%, the percentage composition ofcis-configuration(Y):54.15%,42.33%,29.01%,26.92%,24.89%,20.70%,21.05%,19.34%。Both monomers and polyesters nearby470nm emited blue fluorescence.
