Gear hobbing is the most widely applied to the manufactural technology for processgear. It has the characteristics of high production efficiency and machining accuracy. Withthe growth of mining machinery, gear hobbing technology are playing an increasinglyimportant role in producting the gears of coal mining machine.In this thesis, from the theory of gear and gear hobbing machining principle studiesand analyzes the workpiece and hob in the cutting of remote interaction; with the methodof cutting of the slot of the gear, using mathematical model describing the roller cuttingprocess; the stress analysis was carried out on the hob and gear hob shaft. We have gainedload distribution on the hob cutter tooth. The cause of error factors in gear and theirforming mechanism of error made a comprehensive study, sums up the tooth profile errorand tooth to error, radial error causes. From the gear hobbing machine, cutter, workpiecethese three aspects in view of the coal mining machine gear machining error made detailedwork procedure and process measures, but also puts forward the effective measures toimprove the quality of the tooth surface. Effective measures improving tooth surfacequality are put forward in the meantime. Selective analysis about result of hob geometricparameters influencing gear precision, and concluded that the influence of error of gearhob parameters are analyzed and the angle of the hob and numbers, the effect of slotnumber, diameter and other parameters on the error are analyzed, and summarize thedesign principle of some parameters. Aiming at existing problems in coalcutter gearproduct, research on influence of cutting speed in hobbing and feed rate has been done. Onthe basis of machinability of present model number coalcutter gear material and relatingtechnical parameters, choosing principles about hobbing cutting speed and feed rate havebeen presented respectively.The conclusion proposed in this paper and a decrease in error measures applied to theproduction of products, the accuracy of gear is improved obviously.
