Polylactic acid (PLA) fiber is a new type of biodegradable fibers. The development andutilization of polylactic acid fiber is especially important in the21st century whose subject isenvironment and development. Polylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber have many similaritieson physical and chemical properties. The development and application of polyalacitc acidfiber can be promoted by developing polylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber intertexture. Inthe textile industry, the development of polylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber intertexturemeets difficulties in dyeing process. It is difficult to achieve the same color that makes theproduction varieties. Therefore, it is necessary to study and solve the problem.Paper puts forward the reductive cleaning conditions of dyed polylactic acid fiber andgets the full set of dyeing technology of polylactic acid fiber dyeing after study of dispersedye dyeing process conditions of pololacitc acid fiber and the influence of dye bath pH,dyeing time and dyeing temperature which base on dye uptake percentage. Polylactic acidfiber and polyester fiber are dyed by the same disperse dye in the experiment under theprinciples of the performance of fiber can not be affect by dyeing. Color difference on the twokinds of fibers is discussed by the color characteristic values (L, a, b value), dye colordifference on two kinds of fibers (E), the maximum absorption wavelength maxand samecolor balance value K. The result observes the general phenomenon of color difference is verybig when the two kinds of fibers dyed by the same dye.In order to reduce the color difference, the paper attempts to reduce the color differenceby changing dyeing process conditions, and research the relationship between the dye dosage,dyeing temperature and color difference on polylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber. Paperalso tries reducing the color difference by combination dyeing of kinds of same color dyes ordifferent color dyes. Results show that the same disperse dye has large color difference on thepolylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber and has the obvious effect of light color on polylacticacid fiber. It can improve the same color to a certain extent by combination dyeing of kinds ofsame color dyes or different color dyes, but it can not satisfy the requirements for theproduction dyeing of PLA/PET intertexture.An in-depth theoretical analysis about color shade batches of polylactic acid fiber andpolyester fiber dyed by disperse dyes have been made by the research on the relationshipbetween the color and dye uptake, apparent color depth K/S, fiber structure and the solubilityparameter. Color shade batches between polylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber is mainlycaused by the large difference of solubility parameter between fibers and disperses dyes.Solubility parameter of disperse dye applied to polylactic acid fiber and PLA/PET fiber fabricshould be range in (16.7-24.9(J/cm3)) and (19.3-24.9(J/cm3)).Research on the color of polylactic acid fiber and polyester fiber dyed by disperse dyehas a theoretical guiding significance to the development of dye for PLA/PET fiberinterwoven fabric and the practice of dyeing production.
