Nowadays,with the development of the economic, environmental protectionbecomes to more and more serious. Requirements of the coal-fired power plantnitrogen oxides emissions are more stringent in China. Coal-fired power plants needto take a series of measures to control the emissions of nitrogen oxides.According to the equipment status of#3boiler in Guangzhou power plant andthe flue gas denitration renovation requirements, this paper compared various flue gasdenitration method and selected low NOx combustion technology combined withSelective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) flue gas denitration process for thereconstruction. By using new low NOx burner and reconstruction of the rear heatsurface installation of the SCR reactor, the NOXin flue gas reduced from600mg/Nm~3to300mg/Nm~3, and followed by SCR reactor further processing, the concentration ofnitrogen oxides into the atmosphere reduced to160mg/Nm~3. By combustion airdistribution optimization experiment, it obtained the environmental condition,economic condition and the optimal operating condition adjustment model, andsummarized the operation guide card for low nitrogen combustion. According to theproblems: reactor temperature decrease which caused by hot air temperature decreaseand heat loss of ammonia transport pipeline after the renovation, this paper selected anew type reactor heater and redesigned the insulating layer of ammonia transportpipeline, to raise the reaction temperature and improve the stability of the SCRreactor. The rearch work of low-NOx combustion technology and SCR flue gasdenitrification process on#3boiler of Guangzhou power plant, can provide areference for similar projects.
