With the rapid development of modern equipment manufacturing industry, deephole processing technology has been rapidly promoted to aerospace, shipbuilding,metallurgy, automotive moulds, instrumentation and other fields. As the deep holeprocessing of the main tool, boring cutter directly affects the development ofdeep-hole processing technology. But as a result of too much length to diameter ratio,Boring cutter will generate vibration easily in machining, and it will have a seriousinfluence the processing quality. So how to damp vibration will be very important tothe development of deep-hole processing technology. This thesis designed a kind ofdamping boring bar which can effectively solve the problem.Firstly, this thesis has conducted the modal analysis which based on the slendercantilever bar instead of boring bar, then got all order resonance frequency whichhappened under great deformation position, and completed the vibration simulationanalysis, then get the longest overhanging place which have major amplitude occur-ed in the fundamental frequency. According to the fundamental frequency of the vib-ration mode, I add a dynamic absorber in the longest overhanging place, and establi-sh theoretical model, then get several important factors which affect the damping eff-ect.Secondly, it determined the dynamic vibration absorbers parameter valuesthrough the calculation, and a few core parts of key size and materials which includedamping block shape size and material, spring rubber diameter and axial length size,related materials and stiffness value, damping fluid damping coefficient and relatedmaterials.Then, using ADAMS Vibration module study the vibration of damping boringbar. And completed the simulation verification on the key parameter of dampingboring bar, and completed the simulation contrast according three different types ofboring bar. Through the amplitude-frequency curves obtained in the boring bar near the fundamental frequency of the wide range, the reducing vibration amplitude ofdamping boring bar is four times more than solid boring bar.Finally, this thesis analyzed the processing methods of the boring bar, and adva-ntaged that it is the best way to draw the work piece rotation which tool only for feedprocessing, and Preliminary design the jig. Study the mode of the jig, and completedthe stress deformation analysis on damping boring bar. Compared the stiffness of twobars, and drawn that the stiffness of damping boring bar did not descend significant-ly.
