With the rapid development of modern computer hardware and software, theimpact to the traditional manufacturing industry is also increasing more and moreobviously. In order to enhance the competitiveness and innovation of theenterprises in the foundry industry, the introduction of CAD/CAE/CAMintegration technology to the design of the lost foam casting manufacturing andproduction has become an inevitable trend in the manufacturing industry. Thispaper took box lost foam casting parts as research objects and deeply studied theCAD/CAE/CAM integration technology of casting products by establishing theLFC CAD/CAE/CAM integration platform. For the purpose of opening three different software, Pro/E, UG andProCAST, in the same interface and making the working process moreconvenient and effic iency. Microsoft Visual C#was used to establish theCAD/CAE/CAM integration platform of the lost foam casting mold, whichintegrated the required software interface.Studied the mold sample slicing programs of box parts, proposed the designidea "simple processing, multi-combination" and schemed out the CNCmachining program of models after slicing on the basis of process requirementsby the UG Software. With the help of Pro/E software,3D solid modeling of the HT150box lostfoam casting part was conducted, and its practical filling and solidificationprocess was simulated using the finite element method. After determining theprocess parameters of the box lost foam casting part, the filling and solidificationprocess of castings with two different pouring systems was simulated, andobtained the casting temperature field distribution and probable defectiveportions by casting simulation software ProCAST. The results show that thepossibility of the appearance of shrinkage cavities inside the base was greatly reduced at the relatively stable filling speed about2m/s after using the doubleingate pouring system and cold iron as feeding measures. This program is morereasonable and the casting quality has also been significantly improved.
