Lost foam casting(LFC)technology is an environmentlly friendly advanced casting process with the advantages of high dimensional accuracy,small amount of molding,precise molding,no burr of casting,small draft angle,etc,LFC is flexible and has a better adaptability for complex castings,LFC mold is an important tolling facility in the application of LFC technology,using LFC molds to produce foam appearance with quality is the foundation for ensuring that LFC process produces high quality casting products.Based on the characteristics of LFC process and the structure characteristics of pump products,this essay discusses the process,method and parameter optimization of the LFC mold design of the pump products,taking the case of a variety of typical castings LFC mold design process an examples.this essay talks about the comprehensive design thchnology applications,design plan and product optimization applications and so on.According to the structural characteristics of the LFC mould of the pump product parts,the assay summarizes the practical technology and mothod of LFC including fabrication facility,the design of the auxiliary tools,the selection of the cutters,the simulations and verification of the machining parameters,the numerical control(NC)machining process,the NC machining program and the mold installing process,the application of NC machining technology overcomes the difficulty of processing the irregular model.it improves the dimensional accuracy of the model and the processing speed several times,it also ensures the product quality and reduces the manufacturing cost.
