Secoisolariciresinol diglucoside(SDG) had both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic activitiesand could inhibit the growth of some cancer cells,anti-atherosclerotic effect,preventingdiabetes,anti-aromatase properties,preventing DNA and RNA,anti-virus,anti-fungi and soon,and has a wide application in the food products,clinical and cosmetic use.In this paper,hydrolysis of secoisolariciresinol diglucoside oligomers by alkaline was studied.It showedthat SDG oligomer could be transformed to SDG when it was hydrolyzed by NaOH (10%ofsubstrates in weight) for2h at50℃.If we used Ca(OH)2,SDG oligomer could be transformedto SDG when it was hydrolyzed by Ca(OH)2(10%of substrates in weight) for4h at50℃.In this paper,the purification of secoisolariciresinol diglucoside oligomers byacid,enzyme,organic solvent and water was studied. It was showed that acid could make thecontent of SDG reach8.2%.Given that we used enzyme,we suggested you to choose themixture of pectinase and cellulase.If we used organic solvent,we advise you to choose CH3OH.The result of secoisolariciresinol diglucoside oligomers purified by water was moresatisfying.This method could raise up the content of secoisolariciresinol diglucosideoligomers to12.4%.Meanwhile,in this paper, secoisolariciresinol diglucoside was separated by AB-8resinand silica gel.It was showed that the content of secoisolariciresinol diglucoside separated byAB-8resin could reach58.9%.And the content of33%secoisolariciresinol diglucosideseparated by silica gel could reach65.1%.The yield rate were respectively40.1%and27.7%.
