Mould hydraulic vibration is an advanced technology in slab continuous casting field. This technique is to demould effectively by avoiding the sticking of the shell and the crystallizer. Proper vibration device and vibration curve help to smooth the surface of the product and to improve the efficiency of the continuous casting machine, thus to reduce the breakout rate. This research focuses on the control and reconstruction of the mould hydraulic vibration, which is the core technology of slab continuous casting machine, the main equipment used in Hebei Qinhuangdao Shouqin metal company.The analysis of the vibration parameters of crystallizer shows that sinusoidal motion can overcome neither the drawback of the higher vibration frequency the lower of consumption of the flux, nor the contradiction between the increased resistance of the mould friction and the sticking of the billet shell, to solve the problem, we take non-sine vibration mode instead. After tests and analysis and with carefully chosen vibration parameters, this proved to be successful in reducing the negative strip time, ensuring amount of negative trip, and thus improves both the surface quality of billet and the drawing speed. Secondly, we redesigned both the hardware and software of the mould hydraulic vibration process, making it possible for the testing equipment to collect on-site operation signal, the host PC to remote monitor and control the operation and the next-bit machine to directly control the operation of the on-site equipment. This human-computer interaction interface provides a convenient and efficient working platform for technical staffs. Finally, according to the problems appeared in the past production conditions, a plan for improvement is put forward:using fuzzy PID controlling strategy, to make the system more stable and reliable.After tried and tested, with proposed curve formula parameters and improved software and hardware facilities, the mould hydraulic vibration system proved to be easier to operate and more accurate and effective in practical production, thereby the failure rate is reduced and the slab surface quality is greatly improved.
