The gear is one of the most important machine replacement parts in modern manufacturing industry. Deviations always exist in gear machining in reality. At the same time the shape of the gear is complicated and the inspection items of deviation are complex and difficult. In order to improve productivity and quality of the gear, a gear measurement system with high precision and convenient operability is demanded in production.A new gear parameter laser measurement system is designed in this paper. It can measure and evaluate the deviation of gear tooth and ensure the design accuracy reach3μm. Firstly, the paper introduces the domestic and overseas research actuality of the structure of gear measurement system. Solidworks is used to model entities for gear parameter laser measurement system. Secondly, in the platform of co-simulation of ANSYS Workbench, the methods of finite-element analysis are adopted to analyze this system. Optimize the structure of original gear parameter laser measurement system until it meets the required precision. Then do further optimization on structural parameters of the system in order that some imperfect structure variables occurred in actual measurement are controlled in the range of allowed precision. Finally, analysis of dynamical property is made for the optimized system structure to test the structural performance, and the reliability of the measurement accuracy of this gear parameter laser measurement system can be ensured.
