The tire uniformity testing machine is the special equipment to detect the circumference of the mechanical properties of the tire under load, it is also a necessary testing equipment for tire manufacturing. Develop tire uniformity tester with advanced, reliable, high detection accuracy and high efficiency characteristic has been the focus of the automobile manufacturers and tire manufacturers. The product not only complies with the direction of Country’s development, but also is a national key research project. This paper analysis its mechanical model, measurement principle and theoretical analysis of data analysis methods. On this basis, optimized analysis the spindle and frame, and using Ansys simulate its mechanical properties and vibration properties. In addition paper also proposes a full scale calibration method.Firstly, establish the force model of existing tire uniformity tester, and Replace design a optimization model of the tire uniformity tester to replace the hydraulic system.Secondly, using Ansys compare existing spindles model to optimize spindle models. Maximum stress, maximum displacement and the first resonant frequency of existing spindles are96MPa、0.04mm/m'693.6Hz, Maximum stress, maximum displacement and the first resonant frequency of optimize spindle are27.546MPa、0.015mm/m'235.4Hz. So the overall performance of the optimize spindle are superior to the existing spindle.Finally, it also proposes a full-scale calibration methods and the calibration algorithm based on the thought of the least squares method. It provides the theoretical technical support for optimization of tire uniformity test machine.
