High density sedimentation tank with characteristics of compact, efficient and flexibility is widely used in sewage treatment. Because its water still contains a certain amount of N and P, it produces a problem urgently to be solved-spirogyra blooms. This research on the basis of summarizing the related research at home and abroad, takes advantage of the unique properties of tetrasilver tetroxide on controlling spirogyra growth, in order to meet the needs of controlling spirogyra growth of the high density tank water.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1Materials carrying tetrasilver tetroxide on spirogyra inhibition and killing all have obvious effect. Experiments show that when the capacity of tetrasilver tetroxide is more than16mg/L, spirogyra will be totally killed.when the capacity is more than6mg/L, spirogyra can not grow in30days of the experiments.2Materials carrying tetrasilver tetroxide have obvious influence on the superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) of the cells of spirogyra. With a certain capacity of tetrasilver tetroxide after some time, they can make these two kinds of enzyme lose activity. So it can be infected that the reason why materials carrying tetrasilver tetroxide can kill spirogyra is that they can inhabit the activity of these two kinds of enzyme.3There will be a different scope of spirogyra killing of materials carrying tetrasilver tetroxide. Experiments show that the scope of medical stone and the ceramic ring is6cm,while vesuvianite is4cm. Outside the scope, the spirogyra can not be controlled.4From the study of inhibiting and killing spirogyra in simulative high density sedimentation tank, it can be found that three kinds of materials carrying tetrasilver tetroxide all have significant effect on spirogyra. When the additive amount of medical stone, ceramic ring and vesuvianite is up to300mg,360mg and360mg, three kinds of materials can make the Chla content of the unit quality spirogyra below O.lug in60days of the experiment. And when the additive amount of the three kinds of materials is up to800mg, spirogyra will be completely killed.Materials carrying tetrasilver tetroxide have the advantage of cheapness and efficiency, easy operation and high safety. From this study, we can find that medical stone is the best material of the three. The material (medical stone) used in high density tank water for spirogyra growth inhibition has important academic significance and wide application prospects.
