CBN grinding wheel with an excellent grinding performance, has been widely used inhigh-speed, ultra-high-speed and high-precision grinding. Precision internal grinder as themain cutting equipment in high-speed and high-precision small grinding, has been graduallyreplaced grinding wheel with grinding wheel. Greatly enhance the machining accuracy of thegrinder. But during the grinding process, the abrasive will gradually be passivation. For theinner grinding, due to the tiny abrasive dust is difficult to discharge, so it is easy to clog theworking surface of the grinding wheel, causing the further passivation, affecting all aspects ofthe performance of the grinding wheel. So dressing is very important in grinding.Diamond wheel has simple structure, excellent durability, short dressing time, littledressing force, high dressing efficiency, good dressing quality, so it suits for automaticproduction. Therefore, the subject has carried out the study on the system and device of thediamond wheel, at the same time carried out the study on the effects that the wheel dressingparameters on the grinding which based on a diamond wheel dressing device. Experimentthrough verify the surface roughness and roundness of the workpiece after grinding, toanalyze the effect of dressing speed ratio, dressing depth, axial feed speed for grinding, findout the most suitable dressing parameters in grinding, to put vitrified CBN grinding wheel inoptimum grinding state.Through analysis the data of the experiment in dressing an grinding, obtaining the rulesthat were effected by the three parameters on the surface roughness and roundness, the resultsare as follows:Single factor experiments showed that:(1) as the dressing speed ratio increases, thesurface roughness of workpiece becomes greater on the whole, roundness is smaller;(2) as thedressing depth increases, the surface roughness and roundness of workpiece increased fristand then decreased;(3) as the axial feed rate increases, the surface roughness of workpiecetends to increase on the whole, roundness is decreased frist and then increased.Orthogonal experiment showed: dressing depth is the main factor that affect the surfaceroughness, followed by dressing speed ratio, axial feed speed weakest. dressing depth is themain factor that affect the roundness, followed by axial feed speed, dressing speed ratioweakest. When the dressing depth and axial feed speed are changeless, the selection of dressing speed ratio should consider surface roughnessof the workpiece.CBN wheel is more expensive, therefore, in practical production, under the premise ofthe grinding quality, the adjustments of various dressing parameters should try to reduce thenumber of wheel dressing, especially to try to reduce the dressing depth, in order to avoidexcessive dressing, shortening the life of wheel, increasing production costs.In short, whether the studies on CBN grinding wheel wear pattern and trim mechanism,or the research on dressing parameters of the grinding effect, have a great significance forenhancing the performance of CBN grinding wheel.
