On The Influence That15-18^th European Women’s Wear On Contemporary Fashion Design

In this paper, the historical development of European women’s wear fashion, structure, structure and the influence on modern women’s wear of15-18th are researched; the representative women’s wear fashion in above centuries, paper sample structure, sewing technology, etc, and the host and guest factors that influence the women’s wear development, such as social and humanistic environment, etc, are analyzed multi-dimensionally and thoroughly;15-18th European women’s wear profile, technical changes, characteristics, cause of formation are concluded systemically, along with the influence on modern women’s wear designing, such as profile, decoration, material, manufacture craft, etc. We try to find the historic inheritance and development law, to arrange a proper mode of thinking of modern women’s wear, and to solidify system info of fashion design.Besides corresponding historical material arguments such as words, pictures, etc, in this paper we choose museum pieces, restructured European women’s wear objects of above periods, and structure drawings according to the objects, as main research arguments. The choosing of arguments depends on the purpose of the research. We are dedicated in the research of the influence of European women’s wear evolvement on modern design, so we collected a large amount of historical work documents of original addition, which record European women’s wear throughout the ages, and combined the first-hand data of European society, humanity, economy, trappings, etc, to construct a scientific, rigorous and reliable arguments system.This paper embarks from the theory of costume history research angle, by meticulous and scientific vertical comparison (different historic periods) and lateral comparison (the same period design difference), with a series of analytical methods, to research and approach as deeply as possible the main feature of development and evolvement of European women’s wear,and the development rule of modern women’s wear; The systemic analysis of style profile, structure design, handicrafts studies etc, conclude the feature of European women’s wear of different historic periods and the influence on modern design, summarize a series of light spots which have important influence and revelation on modern design. According to these light spots, we carry out applied research and practical exploration of women’s wear. We look forward to combining the women’s wear feature of the above period with the design of modern time, to create distinctive women’s wear.
