The flutter phenomenon has significant restrictions on its machine processing efficiencyand machining accuracy of the workpiece. Therefore, lathe chatter and its online monitoringand suppression method has an important significance of the study of the production andprocessing practices.This paper analysed the machine cutting chatter mechanism of lathe machining processand stability studies, and online monitoring and suppression.First.this paper analyzes the mostinfluential form of flutter--regenerative type chatter generated on the cuttingmechanism,based on the flutter stability theory of Yusuf Autintas, drawn the stability lobediagram using Matlab program,as the basis for analysis of machine inherent in the systemparameters and processing conditions change on the machine tool chatter stability,then thechatter of machine tools online monitoring and suppression methods study using accelerationsensors to obtain real-time vibration information of lathe, using variance and correlationcoefficient as the eigenvalue of the signal to discriminate flutter.The CA6140A lathe spindledynamics analysis, modal parameters and to map out the stability diagram of the cuttingprocess of the lathe,and on the basis of the stability diagram of to choose spindle speed anddepth of cut. Finally simulate the flutter suppression method, to verify that the method iseffective.
