Horizontal garbage compressor is a kind of garbage compression device which is widely used in MSW transfer station. However, the existing horizontal garbage compressor is with a series of shortcomings that involve unreasonable structure, low processing speed, low reliability and so on. So I put forward a more quickly, more reasonable structure and more reliable new garbage compressor work program on the basis of the analysis of the existing horizontal garbage compressor.Based on the analysis of actual working condition of the garbage compressor, a new kind of garbage compressor work program is put forward.The compression function and transfer function of the new kind of horizontal garbage compressor is relatively independent. While the garbage is transfering, the loose garbage can be compressed by the compressor at the same time,which not only reduces the waiting time and the compression box can also be replaced by common container too, but also greatly reduces the operating cost. Because the compression distance of compressor head is reduced to half of their original cost, the energy loss is reduced in the process of garbage compressor work.To establish the3D models of the new scheme with the Pro-e drawing software. Based on the new plan, put forward a new work way of pull box body, which enable a force change from making the pulling box mechanism to "two bar" in the work. Due to there is only pulling force, the retractor stress distribution is greatly improved. And that enable the position adjustment of the retractor hook head, rising or falling, which could avoid the movement interference with the container body.According to the different features of each component, to ensure the compressor work normally, the motion simulation of the main features of the three-dimensional model is done by using the function of the Pro/E Mechanism.To optimize the design of the fastening device of the new kind of garbage compressor through using ADAMS software, and it can minimize the driving force demand given the specific fastening force of fastening hook.Using ABAQUS software to build the analysis model of each main stress components, to impose the maximum load in the real work on each component, to analy the stress and strain of each components with the situation of the limit load. The analysis result show that the stress and strain of the stress components is within the allowable range and it meets the need of the practical work.The research on hydraulic system has been developed due to work demand of the new kind of horizontal garbage compressor. To build the simulation models of hydraulic system in AMESim, to compute main simulation parameters given related data, to analy the pressure, flow and displacement condition of the pushing cylinder, all of which above show that the simulation result almost matchs the theoretical result and that the designed hydraulic system satisfies the needs of practical work.
