Coal makes up more than70%of primary energy in our country. The situation that energy consumption relies heavily on coal is difficult to change in a short period of time. As the main way of clean and efficient utilization of coal, coal gasification is becoming a hot research in recent years. Fixed-bed coal gasification technology is the most widely used In our country. It also has great energy saving space.Based on the thermal analysis method, in view of the large energy consumption and wide energy saving space of coal gasification system, with a intermittent fixed-bed gasification system as the research object, this article builds the material energy gasification system model by the measured data model method, and proposes the corresponding optimized design scheme. The summary of its works as follows:(1) The principle of solid fuel gasification are expounded. The physical change and chemical reaction in the gasification furnace is deeply discussed. Their influence factors are summarized.(2) The coal gasification system is divided into two different subsystems according to the difference of these physical changes and chemical reactions. The data model of the material and energy system is established based on the mass balance and the first law of thermodynamics. The material and energy balance of various systems is analyzed. By comparing theoretical data with actual data of factory, it proofs that this model can be used to simulate gasification system.(3) A software named "Fixed-bed intermittent coal gasification material energy system analysis" is designed and developed by Visual Basic6.0. This software provides users with convenient platform for calculation and analysis, and also provides help to follow-up design.(4) The rule of some important parameters which have influence on the system is summarized through a large amount of data calculation. Two energy-saving ways and three groups of optimization designs are put forward by combining the theoretical calculation results with the real data of factory.(5) The feasibility of each energy-saving technology retrofit scheme is studied by analysing their benefit on energy, economy and environment.
