Abstract:60MN forging hydraulic press has been running for about40years without technological innovation. In order to reduce equipment failure rates, improve production efficiency, it is necessary to improve the way of driving and controlling distributor, and develop an appropriate monitoring system to achieve precise, safe, and efficient operation of the hydraulic press.In this paper, the monitoring system hardware was designed, the PC software was developed, and the key monitoring system control strategy and communication speed were researched, according to the actual needs and the transformation of60MN hydraulic press. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) The overall design of60MN hydraulic press monitoring system. Analysis of the current domestic monitoring system was carried out to design a new monitoring system for60MN hydraulic press, which was based on "PLC+host machine", according to the overall transformation program and the analysis of its monitoring system function. The host computer software was also developed.(2) The research on control strategy of distributor of hydraulic drive systems. Since there is a gap between the plunger and the valve stem, a method of calculating the gap is presented. AMESim model of the hydraulic drive system and co-simulation with Simulink were established to analyze cam angle compensation control strategy. The simulation results show that the new control strategy can get better control characteristics and compensate for the target angle value based on the pressure signal shock.(3) A new method of high-speed communication between the upper and lower computer. The data communication of monitoring System S7-300PLC and WinCC was analyzed to find out the data transmission speed and accuracy among different methods of communication. Packing the data and then transmitting it to upper computer is a good data communication method. This method takes advantage of the openness of WinCC to raise the data communication rate to10ms.(4) Experimental study of60MN hydraulic press control system. According to the hydraulic press drive system model, experimental equipment with hydraulic press hydraulic drive and electrical control system was built. Experiments of basic functions of the monitoring system experiment, high-speed communication and piston position control with position compensation were finished. The experimental results show that,60MN hydraulic machine monitoring system is capable of greatly improving the communication rate compared to the conventional monitoring system and controlling the position of the piston considering the gap between the cam and the jack as a compensation factor.
