Study On One Bath Dyeing Of Cotton/Wool Blend Fabric

This paper used epoxy quaternary ammonium salt cationic modification agent (3-chloro-2-hydroxy propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride) to modification of cotton fiber for the problems in cotton/wool blended fabric dyeing and finishing, then dyed the wool fiber with acid dye (weak acid dye, neutral dye) in the same dye bath, finally the AK/S can be controled below0.5value, which can make two kinds of fiber dyed the same color. Traditionally, cotton fiber can not be dyed by the acid dye, but the cotton fiber modification make cotton fiber has cationic groups, which make the fiber showed a positive charge on the specific conditions of appropriate dye bath, then the cotton fiber can be dyed by the acid dye. At the same time wool fiber also use acid dyes to dye, it is good for the one bath dyeing of cotton/wool blend fabric. To study out one bath dyeing of cotton/wool blend fabric of new technology and prescription, overcoming technical problems, and make the wool fabric damage to minimum, finally achieve green productivity.Best cationic modified cotton fiber technology by the single factor experiment: Modified dosage60g/L, NaOH dosage20g/L, modified temperature, is70℃, modification time60min, the modified bath ratio of1.50. Weak acid dyes optimal dyeing process: dye concentration1%(o.w.f), dyeing pH5to6, constant dyeing time80min, dyeing temperature is80℃, bath ratio1.50. In this condition, the modified cotton fiber have a good dyeing effects. Also the modified cotton fibers and wool can be dyed to the same color. Neutral dyes optimal dyeing process are:dye concentration1%(o.w.f), pH7to8staining, dyeing time constant is70min, dyeing temperature is90℃, bath ratio1.50. In this condition, the modified cotton fiber have a good dyeing effects. Also the modified cotton fibers and wool can be dyed to the same color.
