The effects of dyeing temperature, holding time, dosage of sodium sulfate and retarding agent on the uptake percentage of wool and nylon fibers with Lanaset and Uniset serial dyestuffs were investigated. Evaluating the color identity through measuring the K/S value and color differenceâ–³E of wool and nylon fibers dyed in one bath. Then the optimal union dyeing processes were determined through applying of color retardant FK-450A appropriately. Finally examining the dyeing fastness of wool/nylon fabrics dyed in this optimal union dyeing processes. The results showed that wool/nylon fabrics dyed with Lanaset dyes can get good color identity, and it can be further improved through adding dye retardant FK-450A appropriately; The color identity of Uniset dyes on wool/nylon fabrics are not as good as Lanaset dyes, which of Uniset Red WN and Uniset Blue WN are especially poor, and it is still unable to be better improved by changing the process factors,so Uniset WN serial dyes should better be avoided on practical application.Wool/nylon fabrics dyed with Uniset dyes has excellent color fastness as well as Lanaset dyes.
