Currently, the domestic membrane wall tube welding machine has some problems. In our country, as permissible error of steel pipe and flat steel is bigger, performance parameters of these devices as well as stiffness, strength can not meet the needs of domestic production and is not conducive to the sustainable development of China’s boiler industry. Therefore, it is imminent to research and develop for China’s national conditions tube manufacturing equipment.In view of the problems of the current pipe welder transmission components stiffness, strength and precision of execution units, the overall frame and the fixed support structure, welding conductive, double-sided MIG welding process, this paper designs the drive member, the execution unit, and a conductive frame member such system to determine the welding specification. And the main work is as follows:1.The paper determines the pipe welding requirements and specifications screen for melting polar gas shielded welding method in elevation welding, specification. It also clears the welding power requirements and other factors, and methods of analysis for the gun group, in order that the welding process can achieve welding requirements.2.The design uses an AC motor, transmission rigid transmission mode cycloid reducer, worm gear reducer and universal coupling of small size. Compared to the previous transmission components, it improves the operation of precision while ensuring the transmission of rigidity. Pressure wheel sets with a gapless multiple brushes collection systems, improve the efficiency of conductive welding. And rectangular cross section using linear guide also improve the rail rigidity and stability. Moreover, design orientation improve the assembly accuracy. Ansys finite element calculation and simulation verification, making the design meets the requirements.3.The paper aims to design of two-dimensional drawings welder parts.Finally, the design of the welder can weld both sides of the tube screen. Because of high rigidity, high precision, simple structure, stable welding motion, advanced control system with the advantages of high efficiency and high reliability, which can fully be able to meet the production requirements and reduce the cost. And it is suitable for China’s national conditions to provide high performance and low cost membrane wall tube panel welding equipment for China’s boiler industry.
