Digital printing has become a popular technology in the printing industry and the traditional physical printing is facing great challenges. Currently, there are two ways to achieve wide-format printing, namely multi-PASS mode and single-PASS mode using the "wide-scan" nozzle, but the former has a low output speed and is less efficient when applied in the field of industrial printing, the latter costs too much.The single PASS printing mode consisting of several small nozzles to achieve wide-format output is the research object in this paper, this method can not only overcome the low speed shortcomings of multi-PASS mode, but also avoid the high cost of "wide-scan" sprinklers. In addition, it is flexible to be configurated with different nozzle numbers to suit their sizes according to different applications. This paper made the following specific work and research:1. Design the system control platform according to the demand characteristics of printing system. The platform is based on ARM/FPGA, which reduces the dependence on PC and can even work independently. It also has a better portability.2. FPGA is applied to cache large-capacity printing data and complete its asynchronous reading during transmission. This method also has a universal significance for other similar applications. Build dual-port RAMs inside the FPGA for a plurality of nozzles to achieve a parallel drive, which is of high integration and strong anti-jamming. The chromatic and data transfer solutions is researched when color printing under this mode. Deeply study the resolution control method of the mode.3. Make verification and simulation for the main modules of the design to guarantee its correctness. By analyzing the characteristics of correction control for printing system, Propose a remedy for the system, this approach to a certain extent can make up the lack of correction control system, and it has a faster response and higher accuracy. 4. Experimental platform further validates the feasibility and correctness of the design. Finally, make a conclusion and prospect for the study.
