This paper discusses the design and implementation of a steel scoria processing control system developed by Bao Ssteel Group1st Steel Ltd. This system uses hardware and software to implement automatic steel scoria processing management; conducts computer management and control to all manufacturing process and cancel all paper report charts; conducts thermometric equipments’automatic management and remote automatic management; achieves strict cooling water flow automatic control according to process requirements; achieves turning jar order and operation automatic management function with software system control. The manufacturing engineers can track all steel scoria processing flows and make sure the whole operation procedure is completed and traceable.The paper discusses this system’s software function analysis, including steel scoria processing operation management function, thermometric management function, cooling water control management function, jar turnover instruction control function and operation data management function, etc. Then, it discusses the system’s outline design, gives its function units, structure and main internal data information. On the basis of outline design, it discusses some detailed design, including the software system’s main internal data objects and processing methods in some typical modules, and discusses some typical function units’ programming and testing.This system is almost done and has finished test run, all the testing criteria shows that the system reaches its anticipated developing goal, improves the efficiency of steel scoria processing, and effectively reduces the unsafe factors in the manufacturing operations.
