| UV-curable acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives achieved quick growth for advantages as high efficient, energy saving and environmental since its development, and is widely used in the automotive industry, furniture manufacturing, medical equipment and other fields. At present, the application of UV-curable in the international market is the global famous adhesive manufacturers (such as3M, three-button, Henkel Loctite), they have good hold viscosity UV-curable. The domestic UV curable pressure sensitive adhesive application technology irradiation time is long, low viscous force, residual monomer odor in the adhesive products, etc. This topic according to the above problems, with3M company’s UV-curable products as the goal, mainly studied the formulation and curing process of UV-curable, prepared a performance of3M adhesive UV-curing acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive.Firstly, acrylate copolymer with some adhesive properties was synthesized with isooctyl acrylate (2-EHA), methyl methacrylate (MMA) and acrylic acid (AA) as monomers through bulk polymerization. The factors that influencing product viscosity, initial tack, holding tack and180°peel strength such as soft and hard monomer ratio, initiator concentration,the amount of functional monomer and polymerization temperature were researched through lots of experiments, and finally the synthetic formula and reaction conditions were found.Secondly, UV-curable acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives with good adhesion properties were prepared based on acrylate copolymer or polymer elastomer, polymerizable monomer, a photoinitiator system and tackifying resin. Factors influencing the UV-curable acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive’adhesion properties such as photo-initiator ratio, the amount and ratio of the polymerizable monomer, acrylate copolymer or polymer elastomer concentration, a tackifying resin and the UV irradiation time were also discussed in this paper.Meanwhile, as an important component in the UV-curable acrylate pressure-sensitive acrylate copolymer or polymer elastomer were compared. and then the optimum proportion of each component of the UV-curable acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive was obtained.Finally, the microstructure was researched through the total reflection FT-IR test on the acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive with different curing time. |
