Tension control system is a complex nonlinear time-varying systems, andwidely used in printing and packaging winding industry. As a late start ofdomestic tension control system, domestic tension control products use invariabletension control. When the operating speed of printing system changes, coiltension will have huge volatility,When coil is relatively soft, The invariabletension control tend to deform the internal coil. In order to solve these problems,the paper designs a reasonable tension control system using ARM as control core.This paper gives a comprehensive analysis of tension while unwinding coiland raise a rational design by using of kinetic theory.it determines the wholetension control model finally.The paper completes the design of sampling modulein controller.It selects magnetic powder as the implementing agency,STM32F103RCT6which uses Cortex_M3in core as control core, switchingpower as the power supply.This paper mainly uses integral separated PIDalgorithm to adjust tension control. Combined with taper tension control andaccelerating or decelerating adjustment function, it successfully solves theproblem of tension control in soft coil winding and unwinding and speedchanging. Based on the model of the tension control system, this paper designs areasonable software process. Tension control system uses a variety of softwarefiltering method to improve the accuracy of the control system. For theconvenience of the user, it designs a user-friendly display module and inputmodule, stores a variety of important parameter in different ways. Also itprovides a parameter optional feature which allows users to modify theparameters and alarm function in abnormal circumstances.The practical application of this tension control system shows the influenceon tension when operating speed changes has significantly declined, the coiltension is basically stable and the internal coil is not crumpled when the soft coil winding.This paper effectively solves the drawbacks of invariable tension controlmode.
