In the process of rolling metal plates, it needs a lot of rolling oil for cooling and lubricating. Plate type filters are widely used in filtering rolling oil for recycling the oil. Filtration units which stacked by boxes are the core of the filter. The uniformity of flow field and the performance of contact sealing of boxes is the key of the performance of a plate type filter.This thesis investigated the distribution of the flow field in a filter box by use of FEA and experiment, and investigated the contact sealing performance of the filter box by numerically simulation and experiment. Concrete research contents and results are:simulated the jet of plate type filter sewage pipe by using FLUENT, investigated the velocity distribution at different jet angles and in different orifice sizes; Developed a test device that can work at different jet angle and in different orifice size, and measured the performance of jets inside filter box. It is found that, when the ejection angle is between30°nd50°, the smaller the ejection area of the sprinkler intermediate region is, better the effect of ejection flow distribution is. Used autocorrelation function to simulate the three-dimensional microcosmic topography of contact places of filter boxes and used Hertz contact theory for calculating the relationship of the load and the maximum contact stress of sealing contact surface and real contact area. The Influences of the sealing pressure, the clamping force and other parameters on seal leakage rate, with specific contact areas and clamp force, were obtained and the specific experiment curves were plotted.The research of this thesis can provides theoretical bases for design of the structure of the sprinkler and contact surfaces of a plate type filter.
