The environmental problem has gradually become the focus of national attention,especially the air pollution. The filter bag is the core of the bag-filter collector system,and its performance determines the flue dust control performance. Against this industry background, the paper will explore the key technologies of wire mesh reinforced polyphenylene sulfide high-temperature resistant spunlace filter material, and study the performance of the product.Wire mesh reinforced polyphenylene sulfide high-temperature resistant spunlace filter material is a three-layer composite.The paper chose the wire meshes as reinforced material and PPS fiber as outer layer material and studied their basic performance. After preparing, opening, blending and carding, PPS fiber is processed to different fiber layers, which are outside of304stainless wire meshes.The layers and wire mesh were reinforced by needling machine and Fleissne spun machine and were finished afterwards. One of them was reinforced by spun machine only and was finished afterwards. The paper tested the material for structure, pore size&distribution, thickness and studies the relationship between porosity size and mesh count and filter surface density. The paper studied the tensile properties of the product to learn the relationship between the type of wire mesh and its tensile properity. By analyzing the intertwined entanglement among fibers and between fibers and fabric, the strength utilization ratio of the material is calculated.The paper also tested the high-temperature resistance the corrosion resistance of the filter material.The test results are as follows:The strength of aluminium wire mesh is too low for the filter material,but the one of other wire meshes are more than1500N/5cm,higher than common fabrics. The finishing process will improve the filtering efficiency of particles.The warp and weft strength at break is more than1500N/5cm. Spunlace process only hasn’t been well developed and will improve the entanglement of fiber when combined with needling process. The strength utilization ratio of the material is higher with a heavier fiber layer when the wire mesh is the same or with a higher mesh count when the fiber layer weight is the same. The high-temperature resistance of the filter material is good with better dimensional stability, lower thermal shrinkage rate and breaking strength retention rate of more than100%. What’s more, the material is resistant to acid of10%and alkaline of40% solution.The wire mesh reinforced polyphenylene sulfide high-temperature resistant spunlace filter material has its specific advantages, but its development is still in infancy.The processing technology is not mature enough, and the flexible of the filtration material need to be improved for a further step.
