Garment pattern design is a key component of garment design and development. The efficiency of Garment pattern design affects the time of garment design and development cycle as well as its accuracy determines the quality of garment modeling. In the face of increasingly fierce competition from within the clothing industry, one of the main topics of garment design is always to pursue the efficiency and accuracy of garment pattern design. Based on2-dimensional CAD technology of clothing, this article focuses on the research of efficient and accurate CAD model generating of female suit. The research for this article is divided into three main parts.Part1:Classification of the style of the female suit. Analyze the silhouette, structure-elements, types of waist line, collar, sleeves, sleeve length, placket, pocket categories and features etc-all based on the surveys of the female suit style. Also, the female suit is divided into four different parts of body shape, collar, sleeve and pocket.Part2:The flexible CAD model design of female suit. This part includes scientific rational parametric design to body shape, collar, sleeve and pocket, based on the analysis of the characteristics of female suit style. Also based on the advanced two-dimensional CAD technology and professional digital pattern design technology, establish the flexible model of body shape, collar, sleeve and pocket. The flexible model of body shape contains H line two-piece structure, X line three-piece structure and X line four-piece structure female suit. The flexible model of collar includes no collar, standing collar, lapel collar, closure collar and shawl collar. The flexible model of sleeve covers one-piece set-in sleeve and two-piece set-in sleeve. The flexible model of pocket contains single embedded pocket and double embedded pocket.Part3:Run and verify the experiments. Including the single operation experiment of every flexible model and group experiment. Verifying the range of flexible model through the experiment of each flexible model. Establish the quick generating system of multiple size and style of female suit by group experiment of the flexible model. Verify the accuracy of established pattern by group flexible model, based on the3-dimensional virtual fitting technology. Lastly, verifying that the flexible model of female suit can fit the different styles structure designs of female suit of different body shapes efficiently and accurately. This is done through sample experiments and human body fitting test.This article implements the quick generating system of female suit pattern, improves the accuracy and efficiency of female suit platemaking, and provide reliable research basis as well as accumulation to the continuous study of the quick generating of garment pattern.
