After operation for a long time, many equipments of industrial field often produce fouling, especial for the surfaces of these equipments. Hence, cleanout operation is an indispensable industry in the industrial field and the efficacy of cleanout will influence the operation of these equipments. Generally, two kinds of cleaning methods are used:physical cleaning and chemical cleaning. Water-jet technology belongs to physical cleaning. Because of the dominant advantages, it is used in more and more industries. The process of cleanout operation is:first, with the help of some equipments, the water have high pressure; then, the water with high pressure flow into jet and the water with high velocity flow out the jets; finally, water impact the surfaces of being cleaned equipments and the dirt will drop off from the surface. The introduction in chapter1concludes the application background of jet cleaning technology, its history and the latest developmen. In Chapter2, the characteristics of jet cleaning technology have been introduced and some parameters have been studied which could influence the clean efficacy. In Chapter3, the numerical theory of steady cavitation has been set up, included governing equations, computation model and so on. At last, the object of simulation was set as industrial oil tank and three parameters (velocity, the shape of jet and the incident angle) have been studied.According to the results of simulation, it was concluded that a big velocity was good for the efficacy of cleanout and the shape of jet could influence the efficacy. Compared with cylindrical jet, the square jet was better. The incident angle must be set in a appropriate range, which could promote the dirt falling off from the surfaces of equipments and15°was better than10°...
