The remote monitoring system of the oil pumping motors is very important for the safe production of the oil field, and its application depends on the correct test of the motors’ electrical parameters and the high reliable method for the data transmission with low cost. This paper presents a remote monitoring system of the pumping motors with TWACS as a method for data transmission. Facing the fact that the traditional TWACS can not adapt to the channel environment of the oil field power network, the transmission performance of TWACS signal is simulated and tested practically on site, and it founds that there is a voltage phase difference between the substations’outlet line and the lower voltage side of the oil field transformers, which leads to the deviation of time-domain when the traditional TWACS is detecting the communication signals by taking the local cross-point of voltage as reference. And the presence of deviation affects the quality of data transmission seriously and makes the traditional TWACS can not be used in the oil field power grid with strong noise.Based on the analysis above, this paper presents a new method to improve the signal detecting performance of TWACS. Firstly, the fundamental and integer harmonics is eliminated by time domain difference technology according to the modulation codes. Secondly, the output signal is dealt with by Winger-Ville distribution to show its energy distribution in the time domain, and the time domain with highest concentration energy is chosen as reference for TWACS signal detection. Finally the data detection is realized by the matched filtering method which is used to reduce the proportion of the noise in the power grid. The experiment result shows that the new method presented in this paper can transmits the remote detecting data reliably in the oil field power network.The frequency of oil-field power network is less stable than that of the public supply network and the non-integer harmonic interference in it is more serious, so Complex Morlet Wavelet algorithm is adopted in this paper to calculate the fundamental amplitudes and phases of the voltage and current with higher accuracy than Fourier algorithm, and the calculating results provide reliable basis for the operation detection and fault diagnosis of the oil pumping motors.The remote monitoring system developed in this paper has been used in the oil-field power grid, and the real time operation and management for oil pumping motor has been realized without communication cost, making full use of the oil field power network resource.
