Metaphor Study Of Tibetan Furniture

As cultural exchanges, Tibetan furniture with more nationality and regional has more and more extensive and inclusive. The inheritance and development of Tibetan furniture is built on more substances on the basis of technical conditions. With the development of material and technical conditions, Tibetan furniture has also increasingly emphasizing commodity. Moreover, with the gradual increase of living standards, the requirements of the consumers and furniture design are also increased. The requirement is not only reflected in the furniture design in functionality, but more is reflected in the spiritual quest over. The semiotics of metaphor design is a way to express some kind of emotional design, and is able to resonate with consumers. We introduce the concept into the Tibetan furniture design, so that we can more better and more accurately design the furniture to meet the development needs of modern society and have the traditional nature of the furniture.In this thesis, with a wide range of information and access to domestic and foreign literature on the basis of field surveys, the application of semiotic theories of metaphor, from the Tibetan culture, the product metaphorical symbols required for the design of various elements has been analyzed in particular Tibetan furniture which reflects its application. From the analysis of the basic concepts of starting the basic concepts of Tibetan furniture is researched. It includes summarize the classification of Tibetan furniture, styling characteristics, respectively, from the local culture, history, culture, religion, culture, national culture, to Tibetan furniture to analyze the cultural system. Through the research of the Tibetan furniture decoration, color, shape and material, some aspects of Tibetan furniture design in the metaphors are summarized. The metaphors metaphorical symbols design provide a reference to the real project.In this paper, based on the theoretical study, some application methods and design process or method is proposed through the summary of the metaphor of Tibetan furniture design principles. The result provide a theoretical basis for the furniture design and positive significance for the exploration of design.
