| Billet is mainly semi-finished products used in the steel production. It can’t be directly available for community use. The qualified billet surface can not contain cracks, scarring, cold-lap, inclusions, porosity, indentation and other defects, and it can’t contain bluging and rhomboidity. In the current production process, it mainly uses the grinding machine tool to grinding the billet surface to get the qualified production.As an important part of mechanical processing, grinding is an important means of precision machining and ultra-precision machining. In the grinding process, if the grinding wheel is unbalanced, it not only causes the vibration and noise of the machine, but also seriously restricts the processing precision, grinding wheel’s life and costs, etc.Grinding wheel’s balance technology has been more and more attention at home and abroad. Extensive research and testing has been carried out for it. For billet grinding, it requires a low wheel replacement frequency, high grinding efficiency, low stability and low economic costs. If the wheel produces imbalance, it must cause serious impact to the processing efficiency and cost. So to design a system of wheel balance has great research and economic significance.In this paper, the main purpose is to design a balance system for billet grinding wheel on the basis of wheel’s balance technology in the past. The main content of this study is as follow:1) To summarize the status and development trend of the grinding wheel balancing technology, and express the significance of this study;2) The principle of the wheel balancing technology and basic theory is studied in detail;3) To design the billet grinding wheel balance structure;4) The3D modeling, assembly and motion simulation is done;5) By using the finite element analysis software ANSYS to make modal analysis and harmonic response analysis for the balance structure just in order to do theoretical research on the stability of the system; Through this study, the key technologies of billet conditioning grinding wheel balance are solved and it will lay a good foundation for further research. |
