Crawler walking mechanism is an important part of the roadheader, which not onlyis responsible for move forward, backward and turn etc, but also connection and supportthe roadheader, so the track designing will affect the working of the roadheader directly.Because traction resistance is very big, which restrict designing of the walkingmechanism, at the same time insufficient power at the creep process underpowered, sodriving form designed is that two respectively drive installed on each side of the trackback side previously. Four driving of track can solve these problems, this article isattempt to study four driving thesis of crawler, because references are very less.This article is based on EBZ-160roadheader, first introduced characteristics anddriving mode of crawler travel mechanism, second studied and compared the twodriving and four driving, and researched on resistance problem of four drivingroadheader at straight driving and turn driving, designed four driving hydraulic systemand calculated and selected for the key component on this basis. Established simulationmodal of gear shunt motor and walking hydraulic system by dynamic analysis softwareAMESim, and obtained the synchronicity problem of hydraulic system at differentexternal load conditions, Finally, contact analysis for driving gear at starting andrunning steady by LS-DYNA, obtained deformation and contact stress of the drivinggear.
