In this paper, synthesis of Nd:GGG and Yb:GGG nanopowder were carried out by sol-gel method and coprecipitation method, respectively. The as synthetized nanopowder were used for transparent ceramic sintering, which obtained preferably Nd:GGG and Yb:GGG transparent laser ceramics. The nanopowder were analyzed by TG-DTA, IR spectra, XRD, SEM, fluorescence spectra, etc. Results shown that the particle size of the as prepared nanopowder is small, separate uniformly and has high sintering activity with the size between60-100nm. The optimal sintering temperature and holding time are900℃and4h, respectively. The nanopowder were molding and presintering, then Nd:GGG and Yb:GGG transparent ceramics were prepared by vacuum sintering method. The structure, morphology and optical properties of transparent ceramics were characterized. Through XRD, SEM, fluorescence spectra and transmittance spectra testing, the as prepared transparent ceramics were confirmed favorable and can be applied as laser working material in solid-state lasers. |
