Shuttle kiln is a kind of thermal equipment. As one of the fastest growing types of kiln over the past decade, shuttle kiln has a strong adaptability in product types. Therefore, shuttle kiln can be used as a factory firing equipment. In recent years, design and construction standards of shuttle kiln have significantly improved. But at this stage, most of the shuttle kiln control systems are still mainly rely on manual, and the automatic control level of shuttle kiln is still not high. Thus, the design of automatic control system of shuttle kiln production process has a very important practical significance.Firstly, this thesis introduces the overview of the development and production processes of the shuttle kiln. According to the production process and the control requirements, we design the monitoring system. The entire system uses two distribution structures. The system consists of one set of industrial control computer and one set of Eurotherm T800+T2500DCS system. The monitor level control system which is based on Wizcon configuration software, complete several functions, such as the flow chart configuration and programming, fault diagnosis, process parameters display, curve printing and management. The base-level control system uses Eurotherm T800and T2500controllers to realize the control process of temperature, pressure and air-fuel ratio. Meanwhile, the base-level control system can acquire process parameters, control other objects, deal with process data and communicate with the computer. The article also introduces the design and realization process of the monitor interface and the control system. At last, we debug the monitoring system and analyze the debugging results.The firing process of shuttle kiln is a typical thermal process, it is multivariable, nonlinear and strong coupling and time-varying, and we can’t determine the precise mathematical model of it. So we use PID control, fuzzy control and fuzzy control with integral to control the shuttle kiln temperature system, and obtained good MATLAB simulation results.
