Crushing is a familiar task in the industry producing. For examples, in order to make the processed materials, the raw material must be crushed firstly by a serial of crashing mechanisms in the concrete factory. The rich iron ore that can be delivered to the blast furnace directly should be crushed and screened to the eligible grades in the puddling factory. Even in the road constructing, it needs the eligible detritus too. At many foundational industry departments, materials' crushing is an important working procedure and the all machines used are part of mostly equipments. And it is the indispensable part of equipment setting in the mineral-processing factory. Because all methods of mineral processing are limited by the mineral granularity, over-thick minerals cannot be processed because that the useful minerals and the gangues in the ores are not decomposed yet. And the over-thin minerals are hard to callback since that the particulates closed to colloid fine degree are difficult to control by current methods of mineral processing. The purpose of mineral crushing is to decompose the useful minerals from the gangues well, which joined tightly in the ores. At the same time, it will produce fine grains and come with the likelihood of excessive combinations as long as minerals crushing. Without abundant decomposing and the occurring severe excessive combinations can fall the callback rate of mineral processing and the grade of concentration. In order to realize the energy saving and the cost lowering of the mineral-processing factory and improve the economy target, we should optimize the control of the crushing workshop in the factory.The paper introduces the principle of MCGS (Monitor and Control Generated System), and the application of which in the crushing workshop of a mineral- processing mill. MCGS system is one of configuration software, which based on each 32 bits operated flat roof of Windows operated system, used to form the computer monitor and control generated system quickly. This kind of software can collect and deal with the spot data,and can offer the users the projects to solve the practical problems by multi-manner such as moving display, alarming disposal and report forms output. It is applied extensively in automatic domains like melting, oil production and liquid separation, but less used in mineral processing.It includes such interfaces as main control, stand-alone equipment control, real-time and history curve, and parameter setting after the configuration of the monitor and control generated system the crushing workshop of the Midi mineral-processing mill. The system can automatically control the crushers, mineral feeding machines and the belts in each crushing segments, give an alarm for the equipments failure and shut down them in urgency, and start-up or stop the entire flow in different orders. In order to workers easy to resume and keep the entire flow running in gear, the system can monitor and control the locale producing in the crushing workshop, analyze and deal with the data collected from the spots, and judge the failure generated in the manufacture flow, and give an alarm and shut down the flow automatically in necessary via the main interface in the center controlling room. By the application of MCGS system in the crushing workshop, it can improve highly the labor condition of the workers and the management level of the factory. Ultimately, it can create rather better economic benefit at the same of increasing production for the mill, and realize the automatic control of unmanned workshop.
