Shuttle kiln served as an important task to burn the ceramic and to ensure the quality of ceramic firing. It is a device with high energy consumption and large delay. Therefore,it is the focus of the research in the field of ceramic kiln control to carry out the energy saving and reducing consumption and improving the quality control of ceramic firing.In the light of problems existed in the control of ceramic shuttle kiln.The shuttle kiln of a ceramic factory in Tangshan is studied. In this thesis, the optimization of the firing curve and the optimal control of the furnace temperature are studied.Optimization setting of firing curve. The non steady heat transfer model of ceramic blank was established by analyzing the heat transfer process in the ceramic billet. The minimum value of the liquefied gas consumed in the process of ceramic firing is used as the objective function.The time of each stage and the total firing time are the nonlinear constraint condition. Using genetic algorithm to optimize the heating rate, the optimum firing curve is obtained.In the optimization of furnace temperature control, a fuzzy PID controller is designed to control the shuttle kiln temperature. In this paper, the optimal firing curve is given as a signal. The two input signals of the fuzzy inference engine are temperature deviation and deviation change rate. Three parameters of the PID controller are calculated by fuzzy inference. The amount of control can be calculated by three parameters.The simulation results can be seen. The fuzzy PID controller designed in this paper can make the temperature of the kiln more exactly follow the optimum firing curve, and improve the dynamic and static performance.In order to solve the problem of uneven temperature distribution in shuttle kiln, the application of pulse combustion control is studied in this paper.
