Conjugated system was formed by ester and benzene of PET molecular structure, so,molecular chain rigidity was promoted and performance was very excellent. But, when themacromolecular chain rotated around the rigid group, duo to the space steric hindrance wasbigger, movement of the molecular could only rely on link. Resulting in the effect of Flexiblealkyl was hardly to play and market of application was limited.Now, Inorganic fillers were used in Plastics and rubbers to reduce the cost and enhancethe performances. Acicular fiber and whisker could have the effect on toughening andenhancement.In this paper, filling modification was used on PET by Wollastonite fiber gypsumwhisker and the splines of PET composite materials were made by injection molding. thenthey were tested and Analysised.Before the experiment, wollastonite fiber and gypsumwhisker were processed on surface modification by silane coupling agent and PP-g-MAH wasused as compatibilizer in the time of recombination. Mechanical properties, hardness, waterabsorption and DSC performance were tested in this paper. Then, we could know:(1)The bending strength and impact strength of two kinds of PET compositematerialswas increased by7.72%,66.97%and6.69%,66.97%. The wollastonite fiber andgypsum whisker could have the effect on toughening and enhancement to PET;(2)With the increasing of dosage of filler masterbatch, The tensile strength, elongation,rockwell hardness and water absorbing deformation rate were at break decreases, Suctionincreased fistly and then decreased;(3)Mechanical properties of PET/wollastonite fiber composite materials were better thanmechanical properties of PET/gypsum whisker composite materials. The gap was more obviously with the increasing of dosage of filler masterbatch;(4)The crystallization peak of two kinds of PET composite materials moved hightemperature segment and the crystallization occured in advance. This illustrated thewollastonite fiber and gypsum whisker could have the effect on nucleation; Under certaintemperature and time, the slope of tangent of relationship curve of between crystallization rateand temperature and time of PET/wollastonite fiber composite materials and PET/gypsumwhisker composite materials was bigger than it of PET. That is to say, The crystallization rateof PET composite materials is bigger, This is good for the growth of crystals. So, wollastonitefiber and gypsum whisker could have the effect on inducing and promoting crystallization toPET;(5)Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics parameters F(T) and a were getted by Morsetheory. F(T) increasesed gradually with the increasing of crystallinity and A value is almostthe same and the approximate constant;(6)It was getted from test results of the two kinds of composite material performance thatcomprehensive performance of PET composite materials was the outstanding whenmasterbatch dosage was less than30%, and comprehensive performance of PET compositematerials was best when masterbatch dosage was less than10%.
