Marine biofouling problems have long plagued the people’s life, at present, usingantifouling paints is one of the most effective method. In this paper, the inhibitory ofantifouling paints, antifoulant and antifouling resin to fouling organisms was studied, and then established a convenient and quick, accurate and practical lab method forantifouling paints, which greatly shorten the development time of antifouling coatings.Nine kinds of three genera marine bacteria were screened from Zhoushan, Xiamenand Qingdao waters of China, including Bacillus(3), pseudomonas(3) andMarinobacter(3). There are three superiority strains involved in each of the three waters.Bacteria were mixed based on sampling site to simulate the complex ocean environment, making lab evaluation more relevant raft exposure test. And the evaluation time ofantifouling performance was extraordinary shorten by the method of artificialenrichment sea water.Taking these bacteria for experimental object, the antibacterial properties ofantifoulant, fuctional resin and antifouling paints were studied. The inhibitory effect offive antifoulant is as follows: TBTO>CPT≧ZPT>DCDMA>Diuron; The inhibitoryeffect of four functional resin is: CuAR-1>E-44>PU>CuAR-2. The result shows thatthe lab quick quantitative evaluation methodology is effective.Taking Chlorella vulgaris and Nitzschia closterium for experimental objects.the algae growth inhibitory effects of five antifoulants, four resins and five acrylic acidcopper antifouling paints were detected. The inhibitory effect of five antifoulant is asfollows: TBTO>CPT>ZPT>Diuron>DCDMA; The inhibitory effect of four functionalresin is: E-44>CuAR-1>PU>CuAR-2; The inhibitory effect of five antifouling paintsi s a s f o l l o w s: C u A R-T B T O> C u A R-CP T≈C uAR-Z P T> C u A R-Diuron>CuAR-DCDMA. The results shows that the lab qick evaluation method cannot only evaluate the major components of antifouling paints, but also has goodeffection in complex antifouling paints evaluation, which indicating again that the labtest can be used as a rapid assessment method.Through Mytilus edulis adhesion experiments, four fuctional resins are all havesome anti-fouling effect. The antifouling property is as follows: CuAR-1>CuAR-2≈E-44>PU; Five antifoulants have a strong anti-fouling resistance, including TBTO’sfatality rate up to one hundred percent. The antifouling property of five antifoulant isas follows: TBTO=DCDMA>ZPT=CPT>Diuron; Five kinds of copper acrylate antifouling paints have a great deal of inhibition for the growth of Mytilus edulis. Theantifouling property is as follows:CuAR-TBTO=CuAR-DCDMA>CuAR-CPT>CuAR-ZPT>CuAR-Diuron。The results of lab qick evaluation method of antifoling property are basicallyaccord with raft exposure test’s, which shows that the lab quick quantitative evaluationmethodology is effective.
