| Environmental protection investment as an important means to promote thepollutant emissions reduce, which is necessary conditions to realize the sustainabledevelopment of economy. This paper mainly discusses the mechanism ofenvironmental protection investment effect on pollutants. Along with thepromulgation of PM2.5index, atmospheric environment quality and the quality ofpeople’s life is closely linked. This paper selects the industrial waste gas as theresearch sample, discuss the path of influence in environmental protectioninvestment to industrial waste gas emissions. And then this paper from theoreticallyderived and empirical analysis to answer this question.First of all, focus on relationship between environmental protection investmentand pollutant emissions, then clean up the existing literature review and furtherdiscuss empirical researches of domestic and foreign scholars. Find out theinsufficient of existing research and present innovation point of this paper. Thenbased on the existing research literature, discussing environmental protectioninvestment and industrial waste gas emissions in theoretically analysis perspective.Environmental protection investment through the scale effect, structure effect,technological effect to influence industrial waste gas emissions. Based on the resultof theoretical analysis come up with hypothesis of this paper.In order to validate the research hypothesis of theoretical analysis, first fromstatistical analysis perspective to observation correlation between environmentalprotection investment and industrial waste gas emissions. From the results ofstatistical analysis, along with the increase of the investment in environmentalprotection, industrial waste gas emissions have the trend of decline. Then from theperspective of empirical, analysis the impact the investment in environmentalprotection on industrial waste gas emissions in quantitative study. First based ontime series data analysis method from the1994to2010，discuss the relationship between environmental protection investment and industrial waste gas emissions.From the co integration test result, there is a negative correlation in long runequilibrium. Then based on the panel data analysis method in30provinces from2004to2010, discuss relationship between environmental protection investment andindustrial waste gas. Using logarithmic mean Divisia decomposition method(LMDI), decompose industrial waste gas emissions total effect to scale effect,structure effect, technological effect. By seemingly relevant regression (SUR), paneldata processing method to get the result of regression. From the result we can know,Environmental protection investment impact industrial waste gas emissions weresignificant in the1%significant level.Finally, based on the conclusion of theoretical analysis and empirical analysisto come up with the basis of specific policy recommendations. One is theenvironmental protection investment growth rate is faster than economic growth rate.The second is to increase the investment in environmental protection to R&Dinvestment. Three is to change the mode of economic growth, adjusting theindustrial structure. |
