Rotating liner cementing is a common method, which can increase thedisplacement efficiency and enhance the quality of cementing in bores, extradeepwells, horizontal wells, small annular well. Rotating liner hanger bearings are keyparts to combine rotating liner hanger with cementing casing, bearing all weight of theliner in the cement job. The deeper the well is, the more the load of bearings is.Working life of bearings is very short, because temperature is too high in the workingenvironment and working condition is very poor. For increasing the service life ofrotating liner hanger bearings and meeting the requirements of rotating liner hanger, itis necessary to develop the bearings and do targeted improvement according to specialdownhole conditions and experiments.Bearing structure select based on the load of rotating liner hanger bearings is abearing full of tapered rollers and to seal using the interference fit sealing and sealring. Adjusting rings made of cupper are set on both sides of bearing in order to settlethe uneven distribution of load and avoid tipping load. Washer outside the bearings isconductive to keep thrust bearings integrity, to prevent influx of drilling fluid with thehelp of seal fit.Rotating liner hanger bearings are applied to the drilling equipment in the pit andextradeep bore. For reducing the field-test cost and shortening the R&D circle, FEMsimulative analysis is an effective method. Finite element model is used to performstatics analysis for rotating liner hanger bearings, such as stress distribution andmaximum stress under the static load. However, for bearings serving in the pit and atthe high temperature, the result is to obtain stress distribution in the pit under theheavy load at the high temperature using the coupling analysis. Contrary to stressdistribution at the room temperature, we find the relationship between bearing stressand temperature.By studying the rotating liner hanger bearings and analyzing the field test using the finite element analysis, the paper elaborates the stress distribution under the heavyloads and under complex borehole conditions. It is beneficial for our country todevelop the advanced drilling equipment.
