Development And Application Of Expandable Liner Hanger Setting Tool

As the technology of solid expandable tube matures,an expandable liner hanger for liner cementing was developed.It has the advantages of less external components,large flow area,rotating during running and cementing,simultaneous sitting and setting,etc.It can well solve problems such as small gaps,narrow windows,insufficient casing and poor cementing quality in deep Wells,ultra-deep Wells and highly deviated Wells.The performance of this type of liner hanger depends on the complete function of the matching setting tool.In view of the shortcomings of the only domestic inflatable liner hanger that adopts "bottom-up" to push the expansion.By analyzing the application literature of various liner hangers in the industry,a kind of "top-down" inflatable liner hanger setting tool structure is designed.And a new design of the three-stage hydraulic cylinder mechanism and rubber plug sealing mechanism,increase the emergency mechanical release function,to ensure that the function of the tool is more perfect.Through theoretical calculation and finite element simulation,the strength of key parts in the setting tool is studied,and the results show that the design strength reaches more than 2.0 of the design index.Then,according to the structure design completed the drawing output,and the prototype processing and assembly.The performance test of each functional unit,the joint performance test of the whole machine and the comprehensive performance test of the whole machine test well were carried out step by step.Research and experimental results show that the three-stage hydraulic cylinder thrust,torsion and tension resistance,releasing function and sealing ability after the rubber plug is pressed all meet the design requirements,and the performance of each functional unit is independent,without the situation of under-drawing.In the end,according to the actual demand,we produced a type of expanded liner hanger with a new type of setting tool Φ177.8m ×Φ139.7m specification.It was used in Shanxi CBM GSS-036 LR well and achieved success,realizing all functions of the liner hanger setting tool such as tensile-push,resistance,rotation,expansion,sitting and hanging,and release.By absorbing and digesting the domestic and foreign knowledge of the theory and structure of the inflatable liner hanger setting tool.In view of its shortcomings,a kind of inflatable liner hanger setting tool with self-intellectual property right is designed,and the field application is realized.
