Endophytic fungi is a huge microbial systems, it can produce a variety of active ingredients. In recent years, extraction of active substance from endophytic fungi has become an important way to find natural active compounds. The main purpose of this paper is separating endophytic fungi from Solanum tuberodsum and Ephedra intermedia, and clarifing their biological activities. The results were as follows:Cultured at28℃in the incubator, using isolation medium PDA,14strains and59strains endophytic fungus were isolated from Solanum tuberodsum and Ephedra intermedia respectively. Through observing their colony morphology and spore morphology under the microscope,10strains endophytic fungus from Solanum tuberodsum which producing spores were identified,8strains from Gibberella,1strain from Alternaria,1strain from Glomerularia,20strains endophytic fungus from Ephedra intermedia were identified,7strains belows to Alternaria,6strains belows to Penicillium,4strains below to Glomerularia, the rest of them were Cephalosporium, Corethropsis and Mastigosporium. The antitumor activity of these extracts produced from endophytic fungi of Solanum tuberodsum was evaluated by MTT method. The results showed a total of42samples have different degrees inhibitory activities to A549and SMMC-7721cell. Among them,10sample’s inhibition rate for A549cell was more than50%. The hightest inhibition rate is66.56%for A549cell from ZS102. Relative to A549cell the antitumor activity for SMMC-7721is lower; Hightest inhibition rate is46.64%from ZS301. The best activity part is from the extraxts of myceliym. The antibacterial activity was evaluated with Staphyloccocus aureus, Bacillus licheniformis, Streptococcus uberi, Escherichia coli., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae. The results showed that17extracts (40%) of Solanum tuberodsum endophytic fungus have antibacterial activity against all six test bacterium. Ethyl acetate extract of ZS107had strong inhibitory effect.53of177extracts of Ephedra intermedia endophytic fungus have antibacterial activity against six test bacterium. The n-butanol extracted of LMG201has the highest activity against all six test bacterium, and the inhibition zones were greater than20mm.Antioxidant activity (total reducing capacity, DPPH. free radical scavenging activity and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity) of these extracts were detected. The results showed that, in42extracts from Solanum tuberodsum,41have total reducing capacity,26have different levels of DPPH-free radical scavenging activity,40have hydroxyl radical scavenging activity. In177extracts from Ephedra intermedia,155 have total reducing capacity,107have DPPH. free radical scavenging activity,99have hydroxyl radical scavenging activity.Using different separation techniques,1compound was separated from fermented product of ZS301, identified as sapinofuranone B.Using molecular biology method,9stains endophytic fungus of Solanum tuberodsum were identificated,7stains belongs to Gibberella,1to Diaporthe and1to uncultured ascomcete clone. From11stains endophytic fungus of Ephedra intermedia,7belongs to Fusarium, the rest of them were Cladosporium, Penicillium, Pichia and Alter naria, respectively.
