Sheet metal is a commonly used mechanical components in machinery manufacturing and widely exist in a variety of mechanical industry.A good pieces of sheet metal packing scheme can improve the efficiency of the use of materials, reduce the material waste, so as to reduce the production cost and increase income.Determination of the traditional layout scheme is layout Engineer through their own experience.This method is time-consuming and laborious, and the efficiency is low.In recent years,with the development of CAD technology and intelligent optimization algorithm, many scholars have studied the layout optimization.They improve the utilization ratio of the plate with the optimization method.In this thesis, the layout optimization is based on the genetic algorithm.Encoder mode of layout optimization was determined.The basic genetic algorithm was improved.Selection operator and crossover operator and mutation operator was designed.The application of genetic algorithm to the layout optimization obtained the optimization results layout.This paper mainly to optimize the layout of rectangular parts and polygon parts.In the layout optimization of rectangular sheet metal parts, various heuristic algorithm was introduced,and ultimately the use of surplus rectangle method was determined.The surplus rectangle method was improved and results show that the optimized layout method is more effective.Finally, the optimal layout scheme was obtained with genetic algorithm.In the layout optimization of polygon sheet metal parts the NFP method was used.In this method,all abutting position of a polygon with respect to the another was expressed.An exact boundary was given and his boundary is the contact boundary.Finally, the optimal layout scheme was obtained with genetic algorithm.Finally, the design of sheet metal nesting system was completed with the mixed programming of VS2010and MATLAB.Writed the code in the MATLAB then compiled the code to C++files by using the MATCOM method.The C++file will be applied to the VS2010.The layout system was completed.
