PTT and PET belong to the aromatic polyester polymer compound.They have similarchemical structure and there is only one methylene apart in the repeating structuralunit.Both physical and chemical properties are very similar.It is very difficult to identifyqualitatively PTT&PET fibers using traditional fiber composition analysis method and sois quantitative analysis of PTT/PET blended fabrics.Therefore,it is a urgent technicalproblem to find a qualitative identification method of PTT&PET fibers and a quantitativeanalysis method of PTT/PET blended fabrics unlike traditional methods. This articleconsists of three parts,qualitative identification of PTT&PET fibers,quantitative analysis ofPTT/PET blended fibers,effect of different heat-set temperature on function model.The first part tests four kinds of PTT fibers and four kinds of PET fibers by TG,DTGand DSC.The extracted characteristic parameters are the starting and end temperature ofthermal degradation,Residual weight ratio of500℃,the maximum temperature of weightloss rate,the melting temperature,the glass transition temperature,melting heat and coldcrystallization temperature.The second part chooses one kind of PTT fiber and one kind of PET fibers.Thepretreated fibers are uniformly mixed in accordance with pre-designed protocol.DSCmeasures different ratios of PTT/PET samples,obtaining melting enthalpy of the twofibers.Matlab least squares polynomial fitting is used to get optimal function model aboutmass fraction&melting enthalpy fraction of PTT fiber.The third part focuses on the influence of heat-set temperature on the functionmodel.Samples are dealed with different heat-set temperatures.Research of the effect onthe quantitative analysis function model help to improve the accuracy and reliability of themodel.In this paper,the results of the study:according to the change of eight thermalcharacteristic parameters,the differences of each characteristic parameters of the same fiberin different manufacturers,different specifications,different molecular weight are small(PTT&PET).And expect the cold crystallization temperature,the other the sevencharacteristics parameters of PTT&PET are obviously different.Melting peak of PTT is inthe no-thermal-effect-zone of PET.During the process of heating PTT/PET blends productsblends products,they didn’t interact with each other,and their melting enthalpys areindependent from each other.It builts a method of distinguish between PTT&PET based onthe thermal analysis Preliminarily.Acorrding to study of the fiber mass fractionand and the relationship between meltingand enthalpy of PTT in PTT/PET blends products,it obtains the optimal function A+aboutthe fiber mass fractionand and the relationship between melting and enthalpy of PTT in theblended products.The test result conforms to the The requirements of FZ/T01053-01053“Textile fiber content identification”.It initially establishes an accurate,systematic,effectivethe function model of quantitative analysis of PTT/PET blended products.Acorrding to studying the impact of the heat setting temperature on the optimalfunction model A+and its mechanism.It shows the value of the sample drying around200℃is closer to the actual value than the value before drying...
