With the resource of graphite mineral consumption increasing, the stored graphite tailings is also increasing. Graphite mining in our country is mainly concentrated in Heilongjiang provice, Shandong province and others, where is the major grain producing areas of our country,and the local terrain is relatively flat and fertile, tailings was piled up across blocked masonry dam in the plain. Graphite tailings is a complicated tailings and harmful to the environment, not only taking up a lot of land, polluting environment and water, causing serious threat of dam breaking and waste of resources at the same time.No matter from the perspective of environmental protection or the mine safety and reasonable utilization of resources,study on the comprehensive utilization of graphite tailings with practical significance.The samples of this paper from graphite mine tailings of Luobei country, Heilongjiang province, graphite content is4.76%and sericite content is5.99%in the tailings, In order to avoid the waste of resources and achieve the effect of secondary resources recycle, this paper study on recycling graphite and sericite from graphite tailings.The detailed process mineralogy was carried out to sample, the graphite flotation flowsheet was determined, but Sericite residues in the frist tailings, acording to gravity concentration to desliming,and sericite in the grit was enriched,and using flotation to recovered the sericite after removing magnetic mineral through magnetic separation experiment, the main conclusions was obtained through the above study:(1)The sample size is fine,there is89.48%of-0.074mm, the content of graphite is4.16%and sericite is5.99%,thespecies of gangue mineral is various, but the silicate minerals is mainly gangue mineral; Graphite for amorphous graphite in the samples is existing with flaky or parallel graphite collection or granular monomer form, collection are distribution with banded or patchy, the graphite has strong heterogeneity, Sericite is distributed with flake or zonal and locked with graphite partly.(2)Obtained graphite from sample adopted1rough1selection,4times rough concentrate grinding and5times selection, middlings was selective disposed and returned the closed-circuit grinding operations process, Eventually, the graphite content is85.65%and recovery rate is85.65%in concentrate. (3)The xperimental study by gravity concentration for first tailings show that sericite was preconcentration in the grit of φ p75mm,φ50mm hydrocyclone(4)The xperimental study by minal of sericite show that sericite and quartz would be separated by appropriate slurry pH value and reagent dosage(5) The grit products used in the recovery of sericite, the grit after magnetic separation removal magnetic mineral adopted1rough4times selection opened-circuit experiment, Eventually, the sericite content85.11%, job recovery rate was84.70%in concentrate.(6) The whole process closed-circuit experiment show that firstly, graphite was obtained from sample by flotation,secondly, the gravity concentration was adoptea to desliming, eventually,using flotation to recovered the sericite after removing magnetic mineral through magnetic separation experiment,obtained graphite content is85.65%, the recovery rate is85.65%of graphite concentrate and sericite content is84.86%, the recovery rate78.77%of sericite concentrate.
