In China, coal is the main energy sources in the national economic construction. Methane is a gas without color and taste, it can cause an explosion or fire and also kill people by asphyxiation, methane is a kind of derivation of the coal and it comes together with the coal. The gas will gushed during the mining process of coal, and its mine component is methane. In order to avoid the accident of coal mine accidents, we must enhance the monitoring of underground methane gas concentration.This dissertation was studied and designed a mine gas concentration detection system which based on the ARM system, this system achieved the detection of the temperature, humidity and gas concentration under the mine. From the main controller to the sensor and the components selection, the signal acquisition and processing circuit, A/D conversion module, human-computer interaction and communication module design completed the hardware circuit design, the part of software use ADS1.2embedded development environment and H-JTAG emulator debugging tools, respectively, through the C and C++language to programmed gas concentration, temperature, humidity, storage, display and other sub-modules respectively and finished the whole design of software system. After debugging the hardware and software of the entire integrated system, it is running well, gas concentration, temperature and humidity values can be displayed in real time the design results reached the expected index. This system is convenient for employee to know the information timely of the underground gas concentration, transmit and temperature in the work area, then find the risk factors as early as possible, take effective measures to prevent the danger timely and avoid the mine disaster happened.
