Mesoporous materials are a sort of newly appearing material, which have been being rapidly developed in recent years. This kind of materials, which hold a larger specific surface area, larger capacity, better ordered micromechanism, better diffusing content, tough mechanical strength, steadiness and more other merit trait, have been popularized and upgraded day by day ever since their birth. To get better cognized with this neoformation with its properties, and to improve the performance in the real surroundings upon its application, can be one of the most urgent course for us to study and work on. Meanwhile, contributed by the combination with other newborn technologies as well as new thoughts, the mesoporous materials can be explored more upon its properties to make a better use of itself. Herein we developed a new series of mesoporous materials, the MCM-41, which were decorated with benzol functional group on its suffice that have largely modified its characters.Solid-phase microextraction was a new convenient means of technology introduced by the end of the20th centry for sample preparation. Unlike the traditional extraction artifice, this new method shares more advantages to deal with gas samples, solid samples and liquid samples. And now, this new technology is widely used and fast developed in every corner of the chemical analysis field for its outstanding performance with simple facilities, easy operation, shorter analysis time, less sample use, better analysis repetitiveness and precision. Thereby we fabricated the mesoporous materials MCM-41that was made into a kind of coating covering over the probe of the solid-phase microextraction equipment, which was thereafter combined with the HPLC(High Performance Liquid Chromatography) for the sample test.This paper includs two parts of content:first is the literature review and the second part the experiment with tests.Chapter1:Something new of the progress about the synthesis and application of the mesoporous materials was reviewed.Chapter2:The new progress of solid-phase microextraction development was reviewed.Chapter3:In our experiment, dimethyldichlorosilane was used as coupling agent with some other reagents to decorate with benzol functional group on the suffice of the mesoporous material to produce a new Ph-MCM-41. Then parallel experiments were taken out to test the influences of reagents equivalents, mold unloading mode and means of functionalization upon the qualities of the products. Also, small angle X-ray scattering, scanning electron microscope, element analysis, infrared spectroscopy analysis and other techniques were used to characterize the products.Chapter4:The mesoporous material Ph-MCM-41that was made was furtherly made into into a kind of coating covering over the probe of the solid-phase microextraction equipment, which was thereafter combined with the HPLC(High Performance Liquid Chromatography), organised as a SPME-HPLC system. The system then was taken trials to the benzopyrene for extraction and analysis afterward. Different data of analysises under the different situations and operations was studied and the operation was optimized. Finally, the system was applicated in the tests upon the benzopyrene in the water sample around Lanzhou area invironment. The results indicated that the benzopyrene in the water sample around Lanzhou area invironment can be easily and conveniently analysed with accuracy and precision by means of this system.
