This paper aims at solving the problems of MIP gasoline produced in AnqingPetrochemical such as high content of sulfur and low content of alkenes, combiningthe state of the art of process for MIP gasoline hydrogenation, the II stage ofprocess and working conditions have been improved, and the proper catalysts havebeen screened. As a result, the products meet the quality demands of ChinaNational Standard IV for clean gasoline, and the improved hydrogenation processhas good economic benefit. And the main results are listed below.(1) Using the improved process to deal with the MIP gasoline with sulfurcontent of800μg/g to produce China National Standard IV for clean gasoline with≤50μg/g sulfur content gasoline, the cutting temperature for light and heavyfractions is70oC. If the hydrogenation was implied before wax oil, the200~300μg/g MIP gasoline could be produced, using the gasoline to produce China NationalStandard IV for clean gasoline with≤50μg/g sulfur content gasoline, the cuttingtemperature for light and heavy fractions is95oC. And the loss of RON is less, butit affected the economic benefit of refinery factory.(2) OCT–MD technology applied the pre-deodorization scheme; the FCCgasoline was deodorized using non-alkaline process. Then, the light and heavyfractions were distilled; the heavy fractions were selectively hydrogenated. Finally,the light and heavy fractions we mixed. This process could transform the sulfuralcohols in the light fractions to sulfur dioxide into heavy fractions, lowing thesulfur content in the light fractions and simultaneously the total sulfur content.Therefore, the duty of hydrodesulphurization could be reduced in the productionChina National Standard IV for clean gasoline, and thus the RON value loss couldbe reduced.(3) For OCT-MD process, the proper hydrodesulphurization pressures were1.0~1.6MPa. In order to eliminate the inhibition effect of H2S onhydrodesulphurization and their transform into long chain sulfur alcohols, thedevice for hydrodesulphurization should be equipped with H2S elimination device.The content of H2S should be kept below100ppm.(4) The industrial application of OCT-MD process in Anqing Petrochemicalshowed that the process could meet the quality demands of China National Standard IV for clean gasoline, and the improved hydrogenation process has good economicbenefit. OCT-MD process provided a choice for China National Standard IV forclean gasoline production.
