The railway transport has strong preliminary, fast speed, large volume, low cost and safe and reliable, Since the construction of railways were liked by people. But during the process of train running, the noise will cause an effect to environment and residents along the route. This paper mainly includes two parts:mode prediction method were selected in this paper, and the calculated results were compared with the field test results. Studying ChengQing high-speed railway noise impact on residents along the route.Railway noise impact assessment select one hour equivalent sound level as the evaluation index. The result shows that the railway daytime noise of every measuring point of a thermal power plant railway is less than70dB, meets the requirements of Emission Standards and Measurement Methods of Railway noise on the Boundary Alongside Risky Line. Compared with the prediction results and the measured results shows that prediction results are larger, and have larger application security and higher economic benefit. The results of the residents questionnaire around ChengQing high-speed railway show that the noise impact on the lives of local residents, most of the residents are not satisfied with the noise control level at present, and hope to add sound insulation facilities to reduce the influence of the railway noise. According to the survey, the line along both sides of500m area is the major influence area of noise. Relevant departments to work in the governance of noise should be mainly concentrated in the area, develop a management standards that meet the people’s subjective intention affected by noise. For schools, hospitals and other sensitive areas should formulate specific control scheme. The finding of this paper can provides a certain reference value for the railway noise prediction and evaluation.
